Welcome to our new Social Media Interns

JUN 2017— The Marpole BIA's social media internship program has expanded.

We're pleased to welcome three new Emily Carr
University students and recent graduates to Marpole.
These three vibrant young people will be in charge of
our Instagram account, telling stories about the Marpole
community and our members through photographs.

Holden McIntosh

Holden McIntosh

Holden recently received his Bachelor of Fine Arts
Undergraduate Degree from Emily Carr University in
2017 with a Major in Visual Arts and a Minor in Social
Practice and Community Engagement.

His practice explores various techniques in media
ranging from sculpture, to photography, to painting,
audio, and digital arts.

As a local Marpole resident, Holden is excited about
this opportunity to showcase the character and beauty of
his neighbourhood.

Robin Lough

Robin Lough

Robin is an artist from Smithers, BC, who currently
lives and works in Vancouver. She is attending her final
year at Emily Carr University, with a degree focused
on community engaged arts and interdisciplinary
collaborations.

Robin has spent the past year working with and
learning from the chART Collective at the Oak Park
Fieldhouse in Marpole, and through that has become
more integrated with the Marpole community.

Her personal practice involves performance
collaborations with musicians and dancers, and integrating
visual elements as compositional tools for performance.

Serisa Fitz-James

Serisa Fitz-James

Serisa Fitz-James is a Filipino Canadian, third year
Visual Arts student at Emily Carr University.

Serisa creates through many mediums including
ceramics, illustration, animation, film and photography, and
puppets. She has been doing many community projects
involving cooking food and sharing it with the public in parks,
as well as projects related to gardening and plant care.

Serisa has lived in Vancouver her entire life but is new to
the Marpole area. She is excited to meet Marpole, and has been loving riding her bike through Marpole's beautiful streets.
