The Great Marpole Trick-or-Treat is Thursday, October 31, 2013 from 4pm to 5pm along Granville Street in Marpole.

OCT 2013 — That spooky, scary time of year is once again upon us, and the Marpole Business Association is pleased to offer its 11th Annual Great Marpole Trick-or-Treat event to get you in the mood!

This promotion was hugely successful last year, with well over 50 member merchants participating, and hundreds of community kids roaming Granville St. for candies & treats.
This year, the Great Marpole Trick-or-Treat will be held on Thursday, October 31st, from 4 to 5 PM.

Event Details

Participating merchants will be given posters advertising the event, as well as an orange, pumpkin static-cling decal, to be displayed in a highly-visible place - on business doors or windows.

By putting up the decal, participating merchants agree to "trick-or-treat" with those community children in costume on October 31st, between the hours of 4:00 and 5:00 PM.
(Please note: Merchants are responsible for providing & handing out their own candy for the trick-or-treating.)
Merchants are also encouraged to get into the spirit of Halloween by donning a costume of their choice for the event.
This event is a fun and safe community-building promotion that is done in the spirit of the Halloween holiday!

The MBA will be advertising the Great Marpole-Trick-or-Treat through local schools & community centres, and in the Marpole Revue and Vancouver Courier newspapers.
Please display the posters and pumpkin decals as soon you receive them.

PLEASE NOTE: The pumpkin decals will be picked up by the MBA the day after the event.

Please do NOT throw the decals away!

Orange pumpkin decals will once again be distributed to participating merchants one week prior to the event. The decals show local trick-or-treaters that they can safely obtain candy & treats from participating Marpole merchants. Merchants can watch for their decal and more details in early October!

SEP 2011 — The seventh annual Great Marpole Trick-or-Treat will take place on Halloween day, on Monday, October 31st, from 4 - 5 PM. Orange pumpkin decals will once again be distributed to participating merchants one week prior to the event. The decals show local trick-or-treaters that they can safely obtain candy & treats from participating Marpole merchants. Watch for your decal & more details in early October!

Spooky success - Great Marpole Trick-or-Treat

NOV 2010 — The eighth annual Great Marpole Trick-or-Treat proved very popular again this year with merchants and children alike - even on the day before Halloween! The desire for treats and the dry weather made for a street full of costumed children going door-to-door to participating merchants displaying the now wellknown orange pumpkin decal. Thanks to those merchants who posted the pumpkin decal and participated in this very popular community event.

OCT 2010 — The eighth annual Great Marpole Trick-or-Treat is upon us, and promises to be very popular again this year with merchants and children alike. There are over 25 member businesses along Granville St. participating this year. Dress up in your best Halloween costume, spot the orange pumpkin decal and trick-or-treat at participating local Marpole merchants along Granville Street!
